Hi All,

I'm Fi, founder, flower/foliage picker, planter, weeder, digger, seed starter, marketeer, admin, and delivery driver here at Raspberry Wild. 

I started my flower adventures with the ambition to be a Florist and I completed the online Tallulah Rose Career change course one summer whilst out in the field driving my tactor.

My background is in Agriculture so I quickly discovered I was much more interested in growing flowers than arranging with them, I seemed to be better at the growing part too! 

I grow on 2 acres of free draining, alluvial land at Wressle, East Yorkshire. It's between Selby and Howden so I'm very much on the border of North/East Yorkshire. I always think of the field at Wressle as a very "kind, country" field. Its free draining and sheltered, not unusually cold or wet and the wildlife and weeds that coexist alongside the flowers, come and go without too much interference. There's two large polytunnels, a big Beech hedge, an even Bigger hornbeam hedge, 3 lines of mature Eucalyptus trees, Birch trees dotted around, established shrub foliage and a really good mixed bag of both annual and perennial flowers. I supply flowers and foliages mainly between April and October however good access to evergreen foliages has allowed me to supply foliage throughout the winter season too. 

I'm definitely not a farmer that prefers plants to people!  While being alone in my field, working away with just the sounds of the countryside is nice I really enjoy the interaction with florists, workshop attendees and Brides to be, that's what keeps this business going and the reason I'm here.  Wholesale flowers and foliage to florists is the mainstay of my business and I do love supplying DIY wedding buckets to couples to create their own wedding day flowers too.

If you're a florist looking for a grower who believes British flowers should be accessible, beautiful and a dream to create with, you're in the right place. You don't have to know the names of the flowers, you don't have to be exclusively British flowers in your floral design and you don't need to be doing the biggest weddings to come and buy from the field. You just need an idea and we'll do our best to make that happen together!
